How to convert several images into one ordered PDF
A group of photographs, scans, receipts, or exported diagrams becomes easier to send and review when it is arranged as one PDF. The important work happens before conversion: selecting the right images, deciding their page order, and checking that every image is readable.
Prepare the image set
Collect the JPEG and PNG images in one folder. Rotate them in the source application if their stored orientation is wrong, and remove screenshots or duplicates that do not belong in the final document.
Use short numbered filenames if order matters. Images to PDF will use the sequence shown inside its workspace, but prepared names make it easier to detect a missing page.
PDF checklist
- Every image opens and is readable.
- No private notification or unrelated screen area appears in a screenshot.
- Duplicates and blank captures are removed.
Arrange one image per intended page
Open Images to PDF and choose the prepared files. The images appear as ordered items. Move them until they match the document's reading sequence, starting with the intended cover or first page.
Mixed image dimensions can produce pages with different visual margins. This is not automatically an error; what matters is whether each source is fully visible and legible in the resulting page.
Steps
- Choose the JPEG and PNG source images.
- Move each image into its required page position.
- Compare the visible image count with the prepared folder.
- Create and download the PDF.
Review the PDF as a document
Open the downloaded PDF and move through every page. Check orientation, sequence, cropping, small text, and whether any image is unexpectedly blank or repeated.
An image-based PDF does not automatically make photographed or scanned words searchable text. Keep the original high-quality images if they may be needed for another purpose.
PDF checklist
- The PDF page count equals the selected image count.
- The first and last pages are correct.
- Every page is upright and completely visible.
- Small text can be read at a practical zoom.
Check images for information outside the document
Screenshots and photographs can contain more than the intended subject: notifications, faces, location clues, desk contents, or surrounding screen areas. Crop or redact those details in a suitable source editor before conversion.
