Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers before you begin.

Learn how the current service works, what happens to your files, and which limits to check before processing an important document.

Is PDFmint free?

The nine tools currently offered are free to use. The service model may change in the future, but there is no hidden charge for using the current service.

Do I need to create an account?

No. The current free service requires no account and keeps no profile-based history of your files or results.

Do my files leave the browser?

The available tools do not send your files to a PDFmint processing route. Processing begins in browser memory after you choose the named action.

Does PDFmint keep my files?

The current service creates no document library and does not permanently store source files or results. Data may remain temporarily in browser memory until the page is closed or refreshed.

Which tools are currently available?

You can split, merge, organize, and number PDF pages; convert images to PDF or PDF pages to images; and add a signature, stamp, or watermark.

Does PDFmint work on mobile?

Yes. Every available workspace has a dedicated mobile composition. Practical file capacity and speed still depend on the device and browser memory.

Why was my file rejected?

The file may be protected, signed, malformed, over a displayed limit, or not in the required format. A workspace shows a specific message when it can safely identify the reason.

Will document quality change?

Page organization, merging, and splitting normally preserve original page content. Image and marking tools create new output according to the choices they show. Always review a result before relying on it.

What does carrying a result to another tool mean?

On a few compatible paths, you may choose to open the completed result in the next workspace during the current browser session. The handoff is optional and creates no account or permanent storage.

What should I do if a download does not start?

Confirm that the browser allows downloads, then try the action again. Do not refresh before downloading because the temporary result may be removed.

How do I contact support?

Email info@pdfmintpro.com with the tool name, browser, and visible error. Do not send the file, its password, or sensitive information.
