How to merge PDFs on a mobile phone
A phone can handle a short PDF merge comfortably when the sources are easy to identify and the browser has enough memory. The main differences from desktop are the system file picker, smaller previews, and the need to protect the active browser tab until the download is complete.
Make the sources easy to find
Before opening PDFmint, place the PDFs in a folder available to the phone's file picker. This may be local device storage or a cloud folder exposed by the operating system. PDFmint does not sync or store that folder.
Short, numbered filenames make selection easier on a small screen. Confirm that every source has finished downloading to the device or file provider before choosing it.

Select and order the PDFs
Open Merge PDF, choose the source files, and wait for their cards to appear. On a phone, the move-up and move-down controls are often more precise than dragging. Check the sequence from top to bottom or from the numbered order shown by the interface.
Mobile browsers can reclaim memory when many apps or tabs are active. Keep other heavy tabs closed, avoid locking the device during processing, and do not refresh the page while the files are active.

- Choose two or more PDFs from the system file picker.
- Use the visible move controls to place every file correctly.
- Confirm the file count and total page count.
- Create the merged PDF and allow the browser download to finish.
Find and review the downloaded result
The browser or operating system decides where downloads appear. Look in the browser's download list or the device Downloads folder if the result does not open automatically.
Open the downloaded PDF in an ordinary reader. Check the first page, the boundaries between source files, the last page, and the total page count. Only then move or share the result.

- The first and last pages are correct.
- No source is missing or repeated.
- The final file opens outside the PDFmint tab.
When to switch to a larger device
A merge may be slow or fail when sources are large, numerous, unusually complex, or when the phone has limited available memory. The workspace shows its accepted limits, but actual comfort also depends on the browser and device.
If the same prepared sources repeatedly fail, use a device with more memory rather than repeatedly refreshing with confidential files still open in other apps. Keep the original files unchanged.
