How to combine scanned pages in order
Scanned pages often arrive as separate image files from a phone, scanner, or messaging app. Combining them in order means checking the page sequence before creating the PDF, then reviewing the downloaded result rather than trusting image names alone.

Prepare the scanned images
Collect the scanned pages in one local folder before opening the workspace. If the images came from a phone, check that each page is readable, not cropped at the edges, and not duplicated under a different filename.
When possible, rename local copies with simple numbers such as 01, 02, and 03. PDFmint will still show the order inside the workspace, but numbered names make it easier to detect a missing page before you begin.
Order checks
- Every scanned page is present.
- No image is a duplicate of another page.
- Edges, signatures, stamps, and page numbers are visible.
Arrange pages in Images to PDF
Open Images to PDF and choose the JPEG or PNG files together, or add them one at a time. The workspace shows the image order before the PDF is created, so use that view to confirm the intended sequence.
Choose the layout that matches the purpose. Standard A4 pages are useful for printing and sharing a document-like copy. Matching each image can be better when the scans already have different shapes and should not be forced into one page size.
Scan-combining steps
- Add all scanned images to Images to PDF.
- Move pages until the reading order is correct.
- Choose the layout that fits the document purpose.
- Create and download the PDF before leaving the page.
Review the downloaded PDF
Open the downloaded PDF and check every page number or visible sequence marker. Scanned pages can look similar, so review more than the cover and final page.
If one image is upside down or sideways, return to the source image when possible or use Rotate PDF after creating the PDF. If one page is missing, rebuild from the image set instead of editing a chain of uncertain copies.
Order checks
- The PDF page count matches the number of intended scans.
- Pages appear in the expected reading order.
- No page is cropped, blurred, or duplicated.
- The downloaded PDF is saved with a clear name.
Understand the browser-memory boundary
In the current free service, Images to PDF processes selected images inside browser memory and does not send them to a PDFmint processing route. The active images, order, preview, and result are temporary state in the current tab.
Download the result before refreshing or closing the workspace. If the scans contain private records, review the PDF on your own device and avoid sending the source images or finished PDF to support.
Scan-combining steps
- Work from local copies of the scanned pages.
- Download the result immediately after creation.
- Keep or delete the source images according to your own record rules.
